Welcome to the fork in The Road to Okotoks.

After three Regional Qualifers were held in May, 16 teams have made the trek to Alberta for the start of the inaugural 19U national championship.

Gulls Prep’s Road to Okotoks

They have flown onto the game’s map in a big way in a short time and hope to swoop in to snag Baseball Canada’s biggest prize.

Started in 2024 as a partnership between the Western Canadian Baseball League’s Sylvan Lake Gulls and St. Joseph High School Baseball Academy, the Gulls 19U Prep team brings together the best high school baseball players from central Alberta.

They’re now ready for their biggest challenge: The Road to Okotoks and the Morneau Cup.

Vauxhall’s Road to Okotoks

They were the only team to punch their ticket to The Road to Okotoks straight out of the Prairie Qualifiers.

With a semi-final win over Team Saskatchewan, the Vauxhall Academy Jets put themselves into the final and, with the top three teams qualifying for the main event, it guaranteed their spot.

The schedule is now set and the Jets will be looking to pick up where they left off.

Hamilton’s Road to Okotoks

Greg Hamilton is racking up the Air Miles in a big way.

The head coach and director of Baseball Canada’s men’s teams started the year off with an exciting run in the World Baseball Classic, taking the team to the knockout round for the first time in the event’s history.

He’s putting in some work with the Junior National Team before a busy summer that includes the inaugural Road to Okotoks.
