The 2024 season felt like the tale of two campaigns for Calgary’s Michael Soroka.

He started the year as a starter with the Chicago White Sox before heading to the bullpen, where excelled in the second half.

The right-hander is hoping to keep that momentum going after signing with the Washington Nationals.

Calgary’s Michael Soroka has been tabbed as the day two starter for the Chicago White Sox.

After an offseason where he was traded from the Atlanta Braves, Soroka is looking forward to his fresh start.

New Sox for Soroka

Calgary’s Mike Soroka saw it all in his eight years in the Atlanta Braves organization.

After battling several injuries in recent years, the 6-foot-5, 225-pound hurler was hoping to get back to his 2019 All-Star form.

He will be doing it with a new team though, as he was traded to the Chicago White Sox on Nov. 16.

The Second Debut

After more than 1,000 days away from a Major League Baseball mound, Michael Soroka made his return with the Atlanta Braves.

Enduring a battle with injuries, the Calgary product went six innings, allowing four runs on five hits with two walks and three strikeouts.

More importantly, he was able to walk off the field on his own accord.
