For someone who didn’t like baseball at first, Quincy Jenkins is doing pretty well for himself.

Born in Chicago, he remembers being in the car with his parents at nearby Northwestern University when another sport caught his eye.

After stops in St. Albert and with Dawgs Academy, the multi-tooled shortstop has committed to the University of Michigan.

Max Velocity

After seeing all that Western Canada has to offer, Max Poirier is ready for something different.

Born in Saskatchewan, raised in B.C. and now trained in Alberta, the Dawgs Academy product has now committed to the University of Miami.

He’s coming off a stellar year where he played for the Baseball Canada Junior National Team and starred at the Canadian Futures Showcase.

The Good Ship Win-a-Lot

It makes sense that a guy named “Tugboat” would have a lot of ‘ships.

Championships, that is.

Matt Wilkinson – a lefty pitcher from Ladner, British Columbia who trained at Dawgs Academy in Okotoks – has now won championship titles in the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL), the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and as a professional in the Midwest League.

Piasentin Power

Tim Piasentin put on a show at the Canadian Futures Showcase Home Run Derby.

The Dawgs Academy product blasted a total of 22 homers in four rounds to take the title belt.
