2022 Season Preview: Okotoks Dawgs

The Okotoks Dawgs are a perennial favourite to rack up wins and position themselves atop the West Division standings in the Western Canadian Baseball League.

After fielding two teams in a pandemic-shortened 2021 campaign, the Dawgs will be looking to return to the form that allowed them to capture the 2019 WCBL championship.

That call never came for pitcher Joe Sergent, but he was summoned to … a show, of sorts, in 2007.

In typical independent baseball league fashion, it started with the left-handed hurler receiving a phone call from someone who had dialed the wrong number.
