For the second year in a row, a Fort McMurray Giants slugger has taken home the golden bat at the WCBL Home Run Derby.
After Peyton McDowall did the honours in 2024, Matt Rhoades followed through during a soggy Saturday afternoon in Okotoks.

The event – part of the All-Star Game festivities taking place on Saturday, July 19th at Seaman Stadium in Okotoks – gets underway at 5 p.m. and it will feature a dozen long-ball launchers, one from each WCBL team.
