Summer of Bronze

Cydnie Moore must be looking forward to her next trip to the Maritimes to play baseball.

The Calgary product spent the summer winning bronze as a player at the Open Women’s National Championship in Nova Scotia and as a coach at the 16U Girls National Championship in Prince Edward Island.

They are experiences she hopes will help her inspire the next generation of baseball players in Alberta.

Care For the Kids

They waited with baited breath to hear their communities named on a nationally-televised broadcast.

Calgary’s Centennial Little League and Whitecourt Minor Baseball erupted into cheers when they heard their names called in the annual Jays Care Foundation “Field of Dreams” grant announcement on April 22.

Both will now get down to work in improving their local facilities.
