Top Dawgs Again

There’s no place like home for the Prairie Baseball Academy (PBA) Dawgs.

The Lethbridge-based squad has become the regular host of the Canadian College Baseball Conference (CCBC) World Series over the last few years at Spitz Stadium.

After an unexpected move back to Lloyd Nolan Park, the Dawgs captured their first CCBC title since 2017 with a 12-7 win over Edmonton.

7th Inning Stretch: Sean Bavis

At 6-foot-6 and 185 pounds, it’s no surprise that Sean Bavis is turning a lot of heads in his freshman season at Prairie Baseball Academy.

It isn’t just his size that’s doing the trick either, as the product of the Rockies – he has roots in Banff, Canmore, Cochrane and Calgary – has been fantastic on the mound as well.
