2022 ADS All-College Team

Alberta’s collegiate athletes provided baseball fans with a plethora of memories in 2022.

From record-breaking performances to breath-taking pitching outings, the list of accomplishments is something to be proud of for everyone involved.

Bear Apparent

Michael Yusypchuk is already turning into one of the most-heralded young Alberta prospects heading into the 2024 MLB Draft.

The 16-year-old St. Albert Minor Baseball Association product added to his legacy this summer by throwing a no-hitter during the 2022 Canada Summer Games.

He hopes to continue his dominance as he heads to Dawgs Academy and, eventually, Missouri State University.

Herd’s the Word

The last time we checked in with Andrew Yusypchuk, he was getting ready to celebrate his 17th birthday at the Tournament-12 in Toronto.

A year later, he’s celebrating for another reason.

Soon to be 18, the young right-hander has announced he will be starting his post-secondary baseball journey with the Marshall University Fighting Herd.

We asked him a series of questions about what led up to the announcement and where he plans to go from here.
