Alberta arms will figure prominently on Team Canada’s pitching staff at the World Baseball Classic.

With a quarter of the 16 pitchers named to the Canadian roster hailing from the province, they’ll play a key role in the success of the squad when the tournament gets underway in March.

It didn’t take long for Calum Andersen to etch his name into Vauxhall Academy lore.

As a 15-year-old in April 2024, the right-hander twirled the program’s second five-inning perfect game, striking out 10 in an 11-0 win over AHP Academy Black.

After an eventful 18 months, he’s now getting ready to join the Baseball Canada Junior National Team.

Rogan Rivard has had a jet-setting type of 2025.

The Vauxhall Academy product has taken part in the Prep Baseball Futures Games and represented Alberta at the Canada Summer Games.

He’s now in Toronto for the Canadian Futures Showcase.

As his 2024 college season came to a close, Carlin Dick (Abbotsford, B.C.) contemplated his future in baseball.

A senior at Canisius University, the Golden Griffins finished the campaign 18-30 overall (11-13 conference record) and placed fifth in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. It was going to be his final year with the program, the only one he suited up for after high school, and the B.C. product was trying to soak it all in.
