Brad Balukjian’s new book, “The Wax Pack: On The Open Road In Search Of Baseball’s Afterlife,” dives into what happened to the players he found in a pack of 1986 Topps baseball cards.

It led him down an 11,341-mile adventure that can only be described as a mix of nostalgia, travelogue and self-discovery.

Like many kids born in the 1980’s, Stu Stone was “all in” with sports cards. His father even owned a series of baseball card shops, which fueled his passion for the hobby. But in adulthood, the actor has found out it wasn’t going to bring him the riches he was always told it could become. So he made a documentary about the industry, which took a “crazy left turn” in his own personal journey.
